if you want to buy all that... good luck.

At least I would replace the 24-105 with the 24-70 (you already have the 70-200 if you do buy the things on the list)

But I do not get this thread... you're just naming lenses that you want...

we all want lenses;)

Nice list. I'd drop the 10-22 and 8-15 fisheye and save up for a FF body. I shot the 24mm f1.4 mrk I on my crop for over a year. It was a new world when I put it on my 5DII. I think you would rethink your UWA selection if you had a FF.

With a list price of $1400, the 8-15mm FE will not be sold very much IMO.
And I'm with windpig, with FF your lenses are something else.

Plus i only want the 24-105 as a walkabout i would use my primes for my other stuff. So i dont really want to go for the 24-70

I can't say if it's a good list or not, just depends on what you want to shoot.

guess it all depends on what kind of photography you're doing. if ur not doing weddings...the 24-70 isn't mandatory i guess. plus it's heavy, or so i heard.

I head on wide angle the 16-35 beats the 17-40 slightly in terms of IQ.

As others have said, it depends on what you want to shoot, but personally, I would swap the 2x TC in favour of the 1.4x TC then you can retain AF on the 70-200 and 300 lenses (unless you shoot with a 1D series body)

Thats a good point actually, i didnt think about that...

regarding the wide angle, i dont really shoot at f2.8 that often so it wouldnt really mean that much to settle for the 17-40. Plus i dont know if id want to pay the extra :D

The mkI version is becoming one of my favorites.

I'm going to reiterate what one other person has said. Why the 8-15L fisheye? That's a 1500 dollar lens. A nice prime fisheye is all you need IMO. Sigma makes a 10mm for 650 that has gotten rave reviews. And for the price you can't beat the samyang/bower/pro-optic 8mm ($270 full manual focus and apeture). Don't spend 1500 on a zoom fisheye, when there are others that are much cheaper that take great photos.

And you say you don't need lenses for low light work, so why do you have a 135 f/2 on your list if you don't need it for low light work. If you need that range just use the 70-200. Unless you are willing to pump out another 1000 dollars. If you need it for portraiture/bokah, I can understand that; however, I would just use the 85 and take a few steps forward.

That's 2500 dollars worth of lenses I would consider overkill.

Canon 40d; 18-55 cheap and it works, 50 f/1.8 ii.

No what i said was i wont need the 2.8 zoom as if you read the list i have other primes im considering over the cano 24-70, but if i do move to FF i want a good walkabout

Sorry my mistake on the low light. And I never mentioned the 24-70?? I did not mean to offend you. It is your wish list. I just gave you my .02c. If you really want my opinion I (personally) would stick with two primes, a wide angle, a walk around, a zoom and a prime fish. aka: 24 f1.4, sigma 85, 10-22, 24-105, the 70-200, and the pro-optic 8mm (I have it and I love it). If you need the 135 then go for it, it's a GREAT lens. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence I'm just saying I would have little use for it within the arsenal listed above.

I still think a 1400 dollar zoom fisheye is silly. Good prime fisheye's can be had much cheaper and wont sacrifice wight or IQ.

Again not trying to insult you. You wanted opinions. That's what I gave you.
