Oh i wasnt offended dude, just trying to figure out what path im gonna take lol... so many choices its always a confusing time haha!

Your probably right about the fisheye though, was jsut thinking more about versatility and weather proofing... however im still concerned about my UWA choice, as if i do move to FF i do an awful lot of landscape shots

uwa on FF is easy : 17mm f/4 L TS-E. the things you can do with that lens
you certainly have to narrow down your choice based on your style. you can't excel in all fields of photography. you're trying to hunt too many rabbits

I dont think I'll ever buy another "slow" lens (a min. f stop above f2.8 ) due to the resale abilities alone. Technology changes at break neck speed every day though.

if you're talking about the f/4 L zooms then I'm with you. They might have awesome IQ but they're just too slow. However the 17L doesn't fall in the same category. It's just as much of a specialty lens as the 85L. Come to think of it, you would probably find it harder to resell either the 85L or the 17L then the f/4 L zooms.

Strange wish list

Mine is basically a 200L and the new 400L, plus the new 8-15 fisheye

Is this about gear you can realistically afford?

I'd like to upgrade my 17-40L to a 24-105L (~$200 upgrade), and pick up a 100mm f2.8 Macro. That's really all I need right now.

Im not bothered about the resale costs, i want quality as im sure does everyone else... my main focus's are landscape and i do a lot of street urban stuff with a little portrait and wedding every now and then... so id be focusing on m UWA, id definitely keep my 70-200mm f4 IS.
