Where did you see these in the Adirondacks?
The first one is so crisp and subtle against the black water.

Thanks, all.tmcman--these were in Raquette Lake, in the central Adirondacks. I took them from a dock. The key is lighting. If you shoot when the light is from the side (these were in the AM) and and then meter for the whites, the surface of the water is darkened like this. These were without a CPL, because I wanted the reflection.
