This is a section of an image I'm working on. I think I've looked at it long enough and need other opinions.

Good enough or keep working on it?

You removed the boat well I'd say.
Maybe just a bit on the left wall in two places: Still a bit of a gray line visible. (bow of the boat where the number was, and it's reflection)
And the transition from "real" reflection to "where the boat was" goes a bit too rough from sharp to soft (and the tree looks a bit sharper again). Almost like mist on the water.

Overall: Nice job. I assume you mirrored, transformed and blurred the tree for the fake reflection?

Yeah, noticed them after I posted. I think I'm getting cross-eyed from this one. ;)

A little more work to do.

Thanks again, respect your opinion. Yeah, pretty much. I'm using 2 separate layers & masks. One I cloned from the below the boat to pretty much cover it. The 2nd layer you've pretty much got down. Lowered the opacity on it a bit. May try to add a little noise to the transition.

Quite a bit of work to do on this one as the property owner has a lot of stuff in the way where you can't get a good angle without crap in the way :(.

Very nice... I didn't look closely at the before photo so I didn't even realize a boat was removed and tree reflection added.

I always look at these sorts of posts as "before and after." So my first reaction was "well you killed the saturation, contrast, and added a boat...moody."

Good job .

Thanks. I guess I should put a text layer with before/after so there's no confusion.

This is just a small part of the image. Like you, I sometimes keep looking long after I should quit. So far, I probably have 2-3 hours on this image. The property owner would only let me shoot from this side. There are 3 wires going across in front of the bridge itself, electric line thru the trees, ladder & boat trailer in the arch on the left, orange extension cord, guard rail, and a couple of signs that I had to remove. Cropping got rid of a few other things. I'm getting there;)

Seeing the full before/after images, I'd say your efforts have been well worth it. Excellent job.

Seems like a nice job. Wondering what lens you took this with and if you did any correction for CA. I've been noticing some CA with my 28-135 in the highlight areas. I wonder if you have it in the bright area of the bridge. I've had good luck minimizing mine with the lens correction in DPP.

Thanks. It was with the 5D & my workhorse 24-70 f2.8L. No correction for CA and really didn't notice any in the original.

The original RAW was processed at -1, 0, & +.5 and saved as dng. The dng's were ran thru Photomatix & tonemapped. I've got a curves adj. layer targeting the grassy area on the left. The most work has been using the Content Aware fill, cloning, & reconstructing.
