Fellow POTN Members:

For those of you who have been following my saga over at the 70-300L thread thanks for all the patience. For those who dont know here is a quick run down:

I tested the lens out at the canon expo here in NYC on friday. I was told to delete all images on site. Which i did. On POTN i was pointed to some recovery software. Two programs recovered all the jpegs I had shot in the last month but no RAW files (the shots i took were in RAW). 24 hours later and after 16 HOURS AND 48 MINUTES OF WORK, Recover My Files Software did its magic. It recovered all the RAW files i shot. Needless to say this will be my recovery program going forward

This took a lot of work and effort to do but i was glad to take on the challenge for this great forum. Remember THIS IS A PROTOTYPE of a lens. THESE ARE STRAIGHT FROM TIFF TO JPEG CONVERSATIONS. ALL SHOTS OFF THE CANON 1D IV, AUTO ISO, Aperture Priority Mode (IN ORDER TO FIND THE MAX F-STOPS AT THE DIFFERENT LENGTHS). Nothing has been modified beyond the conversation.

Here is the link to my Flickr which has the Full Sizes and other shots from the lens:

and below you will find some images:

Are the flickr images crops or resized? Flickr shows 1024xsomething as the largest resolution. :-/

[edit]: Not shown as "original" on flickr.

Maybe you had no other choice than to shoot a flatscreen TV but it's hard to gauge sharpness that way. :D
