Go to TOOLS-->OPTIONS-->VIEWER-->WINDOW. Under ZOOM OPTIONS, make sure you pick "Zoom to: fit image" and "Resize: reduce only". Also, under WINDOW SIZE, make sure you check "change window size to fit image."
