More from DragonCon in downtown Atlanta. These three were gracious enough to pose for a minute (they told me I literally had one minute). So, their looks of impatience kind of fit the mood.

Steam Punks are an imaginary-themed group of people who are from an alternate history, so-to-speak. They imagine that the internal combustion engine was never invented and that all machinery still runs on steam power.

The basic idea for this genre came from the film Wild Wild West with Will Smith, along with Back to the Future III and more. I don't think there's a particular film or comic book about steam punks, but it's a growing thing.

There were hundreds of steam punks at DragonCon this weekend. These three were very well-dressed and looked great.

I tried to give this photo a comic book-look, but I'm having a difficult time with the processing (noise). So far I'm okay with it, but it needs improvement. The first photo is a crop and the second one is pulled back. Any advice to improve it is appreciated, as I'm not sure how to work on it from here other than starting from scratch. It was made from one exposure turned into two (from raw), but photomatix thought they were the same, so it messed with the exposures more. I think that's why it's so grainy. I'll keep working on it.

You were nice. I would likely have said.. okay, forget it. I am not even sure what the hell they are suppose to be from with the little wings on their backs. Any idea? I thought Serenity at first but the wings and stupid tiny hats says otherwise. :)

+1. If you're gonna walk around dressed like a freakshow, you at least should be grateful that anyone even cares enough to take a photo.
