I know a lot of folks are going to cringe on this one (because of the over-processing), but it works for me. It's the top of the Suntrust building in Atlanta.

The rings in the halo are bugging me, and I've tried to smooth them out, but haven't gotten there quite yet.

Here's the crop and the original HDRs. I cranked up the halo on purpose because I liked the effect. I used dropped Gamma to get the sky dark. Originally the sky was entirely blue.

I like both shots, and will probably go back and reshoot this building. One of my friends is an executive vice president of the company and I'm going to give him the pics.

Next time I'll get the entire building in the frame, but I still plan to have some rotation in the picture. I like it tilted.

As always, any advice (however critical) is good and appreciated. Thanks

Last, but not least, is a further pulled back HDR of the building (different photo altogether). I couldn't get the SUNTRUST label in there well enough, so again I'll reshoot. But I had fun and I'm pretty happy with the results.

I know some people aren't really into the comic-book HDR look, but I think it has its place.

I'd give him the second one, Mike. The effect on the sign is really great.

Thanks. That means a lot coming from you, 'cause I know you're not as into the comic-book HDRs as others.

Thanks

Thank you. bw!

I agree. The second is a nice shot. And though I know you said you like halos, it really wouldn't be hard to get rid of them.

Normally I don't like halos at all, but on this one I tried for the halo because I was creating the vignetting, so-to-speak. I slid a slider (I don't remember exactly how I did it) and it came out looking like the above.

Thank you. bw!
