I tried searching around here quite a bit before I bought my ebay grip, but didn't find very much information. I bought one anyway because of how cheap it was. I did a review and unboxing that I posted to youtube. I hope this will help someone out. Enjoy,

TWO VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE! >even if you don't watch the video.
1> the generic batteries that come with the ebay grip will not show battery data on the camera.
2> The generic batteries will not charge with the official canon battery charger. The extra chargers can be had for around 10 dollars.
Final summation, I am still happy with my purchase, but I would have probably not bought a package that came with the generic batteries so that I could put that money toward some (more expensive) official Canon batteries for the life info and the ability to only use 1 charger.
