The easy painless part was getting my Canon 50D and lense kit for $ 1099.99 and 36 month interest free from the electronics superstore.
However finding a quality well padded water resistant zoom bag for the 50D is a different story. A few local camera stores have dissapeared and the only store has little to no inventory to actually look at and test fit.
The specs for the Canon 50D are approximate according to the Mfg website. W X H x D
5.7 X 4.2 X 2.9 or 145.5 X 107 X 73.5
My own approx measurements were taken to avoid smashing/crushing/stressing the camera body and its delicate parts. Camera back to lens cap 7 1/8" 18cm Camera height tripod hole to hot shoe 4 1/2" 11cm Width strap to strap mount approx 5 3/4 15cm
Most zoom bag measurements are poor and sometimes lack the space for the camera body (tripod mount to flash hot shoe height).
