I have no idea what I'm supposed to be seeing here. If you're just looking for comments on whether it's in focus or not, the sign appears to be good and sharp; but I don't see anything of interest here.

Todd, Gail, thanks for asking. First off, I certainly don't consider anyone here a mere mortal. What I do know is we each have our own character, style, and perspective. Here's a bit about this image.

In my world there isn't a space in that frame that doesn't have something of interest to me. The arrangement and variation of color and shape in this image tease my eye as I surf the frame. The people are happen stance, caught in a moment of time and unidentifiable for the most part. An unusual portrait of people. The interior in this image is institutional while the garage is characterized by a wide range of color and graphic elements. The color palette for each zone is uniquely different. The door clearly demarcates the zones. Each door pane features a uniquely different sub-scene in the garage. The gold bars and near field OOF elements are from another clear door closest to the point of capture. I can't change the scene or the moment. For me the frame is packed with visual content. There is a nice balance to the many different elements in the way they are placed throughout the frame. There is a relationship and point of view of the people to the frame, the different shapes to the frame, and the way colors flow in the frame. The wall could use some tone correction.

The doors; as you note demarcate each zones within each leaf but taken as a whole, they become the screen that divides foreground from background through the entire frame...

and

aside from the human figures actively breaching the screen, there is the progression of signs that carry us from the foreground to background like skipping on stepping stones -- oof clear box to "Watch your step" to "Thank you for visiting" and tv screen like object above the elevator door.

I wonder the focus on the exit door with "Thank you for visiting" sign would have made it more compelling since the pic seem to hinge upon the doors that occupy that particular plane in space.

Good call Mu Eugene ... I had a split second wide open to frame this moment. Did I mention I am blind and slow and standing back about 25 feet? I'm amazed anything is in focus.

To me, I see a shot of an ordinary shopping mall exit. I see a weird crop that leaves distracting elements such as the top of the doors, and the buttons on the right, cut off.

I see weird floating gold horizontal bars in the middle of the composition that are not that interesting and are distracting.

I see people with no faces so that I can connect with them, and yet the whole mysterious aura of faceless people isn't enough to carry this image any further.

Then there's the weird black dots that look like something on your sensor.

Lastly, the sign, which seems to be the focal point of this image, has an arrow pointing to the left, which my eye does follow and is rewarded with nothing but empty useless space. Maybe if the people had been on the left of the sign, it would have worked better?

Nah, I wasn't trying to inject that, re-reading my comments, seem harsh, sorry.

I basically listed what I saw and the thoughts I had as I viewed your image.
