B&H has a sale going on that they cannot view public.
439.00 free shipping and Datacolor is offering $50.00 mail in rebate. I finally popped on a color management, this has on location gray/black/white scale block for accurate WB while shooting, it has monitor management, and it has printer management.

If a person is looking for the whole package, like me, can’t beat this at $389.00.

How does this compare to the Colormunki in terms of results and features?

Colormunki gets great reviews, I have never even used color management so I am not the one to ask, however it (spyderpro) does have more features.

I just sent back a Huey Pro due to terrible color cast. Support told me it's a well known issue that happens with about 1% of the product. Judging by reviews out there this is total BS and more like 1% might actually work correctly. I also asked if this issue affected other Pantone systems like the Munki and the Eye One. Was told they have slightly lower percentages but the problem exists across all devices and they could by no means even guarantee a working replacement.

There is no QA in his own words they "spot check" the product because real QA would not be feasible for such a large production run. I doubt they really even care about customer satisfaction because there are very few options for the low to mid end calibration market. I would bet all the devices come from the same factory in China and while some models might be stripped down what really appears to set them apart is the software and extras bundled with each device.

Are you saying this is a bad product I bought?

No i said that in regards to the Pantone colorimeters they have a high rate of failures and support is unable to provide a guaranteed working replacement. I was basically told the more you spend the better your chances (ie.. you get what you pay for) of getting a working product. Maybe the build or the sensor quality is better (possibly even the support) if you spend more but i also firmly believe both Datacolor and Pantone products are made in the exact same factories. The reason for this is that Pantone and Datacolor were partners and the Spyder used to be part of the "PANTONE® COLORVISION™ product line". I am in no way saying what you bought is bad since i've never used it but from what i've read it's the software behind the device that really counts if you happen to get non defective hardware.

Product Name: ColorVision® Spyder2PRO™ Studio
Product Code: GPU128
Manufacturer: ColorVision or Pantone (depending on Distributor)
