Needing 3.5mm male sync cables I was on a hunt for an alternate source vs the lower quality inexpensive cables.

"The Lighting Academy" now has them available. Our POTN's "TMR design" now custom builds a high quality male 3.5mm sync cables. I use them with my AB cybersyncs with my Elinchrom 300RX. Quality comes with a slightly higher price tag but I certainly feel its worth the extra beans.

Got them in the mail today and I will say I'm very pleased with Robert's workmanship. Knowing how meticulous he is with shaping light I was confident his cables would be killer!! They look great and do not feel like they will fall apart like the plasticy molded ones. I just had to share my thoughts with others.

Whew...thanks for clearing that up :D

Those are sweet cables! I've never seen a high quality sync cable like that in my entire life. It sure beats buying 5 cheap cables and then praying that at least one of them will actually work on the shoot.

You can get all metal barrel 3.5mm cables at any musical instrument shop. Same price as the vinyl molded ones at Radio Shack.

No bragging list - I just rent whatever the job requires.

Those are stereo cables. Have you used them?

I thought they didn't that is why everyone looks for the mono cables. I have't tried them myself.

Nope, before I bought some short monos from Lon, all I used were some long stereo cables and they worked perfectly. Using a stereo cable with a mono jack just means one of the wires on the stereo cable isn't being used.

Bobby,

Its our POTN's Robert M. (TMR Design)

Robert has been such a valuable POTN member with his contributions to "shaping light". I'll support anyone in our small group...that's the least I can do.

I love these cables. They are designed for stress pulls. Yes they are more expensive than the cheapies but I'm not looking for cheapies.

HI Bobby,

I'm trying not to do business in the forums.

Since the site is not up yet, there are no products listed. At this time I don't have plans for a product line or selling any of the custom modifications I've done.

I'm making these cables to order but it's a very limited offer. Once I run out of materials I won't be making more. If I still have some available when the site is launched they'll be there to buy, but more than likely they'll be sold before the launch.

I'm not marketing... just informing.

If you're interested please PM me.
