..atleast I think they are lotuses. I particularly like the first one.
These are shot on my XT with the 17-85 USM IS. No color corrections etc. I did however have to sharpen the second photo.
EDIT I re-uploaded this one after sharpening

The first shot is the best of the two and I have always had a hard time getting that perfect shot as the lily ponds always seem to have to much garbage in the background, yours do not have that problem here.

The composition in #1 works for me as the flower and reflection occupy a lower placement within the picture, thus not really centered per say. That being said I would also say that the second one is TOO centered for my taste. Great work on the colors, esp. #1! Daniel Cadieux
