Howdy folks. I was just wondering what you personally look for when purchasing a compact point and shoot camera. What specs do you look for and what brands and why? I work at an electronics store and when asked "which one is good?" I have a hard time answering. I would ask people about their preferences and what they need but so many cameras fit the bill. So how does one really pick one out of the lot when many cameras hold similar features? That is to say, every customer that has left the camera dept so far has been pleased with their purchases.

Manual & AV mode, RAW capture, low noise at ISO 800, ability to shoot in macro throughout zoom range, good LCD screen resolution.
