Does the lens coating for the canon lens is more durable than the glasses lens( even though we compare it with the high grade lens i.e Seiko, Hoya)?

Let say the lens is always expose to direct sunlight on the summer, beaches or desert; would it over the time, say in a 2 year or so the lens coating get corroded or worn out or become thinner as with the glasses
coating?

If yesm then some lens i.e with improve coating would help in this area?

Or the canon lens differ from the glasses where they didn't laminate the coating on the lens but mold it together( built in the lens material)?
