Ok, I need to purchase a new cellphone but its a jungle with different brands and models so I would like to know which cellphone You would recommend.

What I need it for is work and private use. Triband is a must and I think bluetooth also and maybe a good calendar function that can be synchronised with calendar on laptop.

Well I've never had one with funky abilities like bluetooth or such... but I've had a couple of brands and the only ones that have lasted me have been Nokia. My Samsung died 1 month after warranty expired... the flash memory "melted" and the repair people said that it wasn't uncommon for that to happen after that time. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed with it.

So.. Anything Nokia has my vote :p

Some features are carrier dependent. Need to check with local carriers' availability.

I've tend to end up with various Motorola flip phones, but I'm lucky to have them provided by my company (a good thing at the rate I crush, drown, or lose them). They look nice and work great but the battery life sucks. I'd recommend Nokia.

Bluetooth isn't too big a deal. Useful for getting data on and off the phone, IF you have another bluetooth device. Useful for wireless headsets if you plan on dropping $50+ on a decent one. Aside from that its just another way to highlight how crappy Motorola batteries are if you leave Bluetooth turned on lots.

If you want some PIM functions (calendar, etc) get one with a big screen and keypad otherwise they are so fiddly its pointless.

Oh yeah, and get one of those 640x480 camera phones, then you can ditch all your Canon stuff. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I went shopping and hopefully got the right phone for me, time will tell.

I looked long on Sony Ericsson K750i and P910i. There where some features of the K750i I like over the P910i and of course also the reverse. One of the things I liked in the k750I was not the camera ;) but the radio with rds. Good for when travelling with train across the country.

But I choose the P910i. It cost twice as much as the K750i but I too will get the cost reimbursed by my employer. And I got a free bluetooth headset valued at about $115 (remember prices are higher in Denmark).
