Jay, good luck! I can't wait to see what you come home with from this trip photographically. Live life to its fullest and never look back.

friend of mine was filming in Morocco and thought he had made friends with some Bedouin only to wake up one morning and they had left camp and taken all his gear with them......could happen anywhere, not least London but just a warning not to drop your guard.

You mean Berber, no?

I have much respect for anyone doing this kind of thing. Mixing travel and photography is a beautiful thing. I have been to 14 of the cities you mention, some photographic gold on there. If in Japan I would have to recommend you make it to Kyoto, simply stunning. Buy a railpass rather than a regular ticket. Bon voyage.

He had a few points, but in my experience this bit about people not being able to tell Americans and Canadians apart is completely wrong

Awesome, some great tips here. World travels won't start till mid March but time is fast approaching. I'll be shooting New York Fashion Week from Feb 8th - 20th then back to Houston. Figure 2 to 3 weeks tying up loose ends then the adventure starts.

I agree on every one of the 20 things as I have done some extensive traveling myself and pleasantly surprised by those revelations. Well posted!
