I am planning to visit Vermont for 2-3 days sometime first week of October. Any suggestions on where I should stay and which routes/drives to take?

Would also appreciate information on any back-roads and not-so-visited scenic places and drives.

Thanks!

Hope you get some responses. I would definitely recommend going north on RTE 7. I like to take sideroads that look like they are going "up". Many roads will have signs that point to farms and since I love farms, it makes the road a good bet to begin a sidetrip.

I am going to do some internet investigating and I'll report what I find.

Go up to Stowe and/or Burlington - it'll be busy with everyone else up there doing the same thing.
