I found an Eneloop pack at Costco's yesterday. 8 AA's, 4 AAA's and their basic charger for $25. Good deal?

Yes - I bought the charger and 4AA's at a camera tent sale for $20. I think your deal is much much better.

I bought the set at Costco after I did a little research. The same set is available from Amazon for $34.99.

Thanks all. Looks like 8 AA without the charger is $20 at Amazon. I guess the question is should I just use the charger from the Costco pack or buy a better charger that will hold more batteries. Im planning to use these for all my flashes.

Costco has a 16 pack of AA eneloops available on-line for $44.99. I didn't see them in the store (Mayfield, Ohio). Likewise, their on-line store doesn't list the 8 AA's, 4 AAA's and their basic charger for $25 that is available at the brick & mortor stores.

Dengar, is there a Sanyo charger available that holds more than four batteries? By "better" do you mean faster? If so, Sanyo doesn't recommend using a "quick charger".

Apparently they mean some other manufacturer's quick charger because they offer their own "quick charger", the MQR06, here http://www.eneloop.info/products/chargers.html (external link).

Bought bunch of them last year when they were on sale for $20 at Costco.

Some people on SD believe they will do the same sale again later this year. You can wait, but $25 is still a good deal though.

To think years ago a throw away battery for under $1 was a steal.

Now for under $5 you can use and recharge a LSD battery hundreds of times before having to even consider replacement. If only i had a time machine and could bring a few thousand Eneloops back with me.
