Thanks! It took a lot of frames at 1/60-1/80 to get a few dozen good panning images. For panning motion blur the slower the shutter speed the better, and 1/60 was as slow as was practically useful, but it was worth the effort. It also helped to move around and get the sun pointing straight at the cars from behind the camera location.

I can't get over how far back the driver is sitting in the first one compared to the others. Interesting.
Some car builders like to put the driver near the rear axle to balance the front weight of the engine and transmission. It's a design technique that dates back to roadsters and sports cars.
