Ehh, It's ok I would have liked some darker tones and maybe just a solid SHARP picture of the mountains

What made Ansel's landscapes stand apart was perspective. He used to shoot from the roof of his Woody putting him about 10-12 feet in the air. You see down on the subject instead of straight across. Completely changes the relation of subject to frame.

Here the trees obscure the beautiful green forested hills at the base of this range. The grasses blend a little too well with the trees and seem distracting. The sky has a fairly insignificant cloud formation. The frame is sharp minus the blowing grasses and the color and print tone are well done.

I think if the yellow trees weren't there, this shot would have been better. The trees seem to block what we really want to see or either make the picture focusing on the yellow trees. Also, jetcode's comment was very insightful. +1 for him

If you can find a pickup truck to borrow shoot from the bed. I have a friend who has a very tall step ladder with a tripod head mount on the top rung.
