Is anyone using the Flashpoint Gimbal Head 1n.

I am going to buy a tele-zoom lens soon, the Sigma 120-500 (this is the lens I am thinking of now). I was told that the Gimbal Head was easy to use with a lens of this size. 3 years ago I had a stroke that left my right side numb so I thought the Gambal would help follow the targets.

This is the reason I am writing this. I am hoping there are some of you use it, or did you send it back? What did you like? or what was the problem with it?

I know there are other brands to buy but the prices are high and my money is low, this is the reason I looked at this one.

I thank you for answers.

that was on my list for a long time, but I went with the SLIK tripod & ballhead. Rated for 17+ lbs. I'm very happy with both.

I personally like...

I personally like the Manfrotto Gimbal Head which is great for either tripod of monopod use...

Despite Manfrotto's insistence on using the mount with the lens UNDER the swinging bar, I and any other photographerI have seen using it place the camera OVER the swinging bar.

Also despite Manfrotto's insistence that this mount CANNOT be used with a flash mounted; a very simple fabrication of some aluminum stock makes a great flash bracket...

Hi RPCrowe,
Whew, this is a great idea. I will buy one. Is it hard to set up? It looks like there are a lot of parts.
Thank you for your help.
