Had a studio lighting class this past quarter, and one of the assignments was for glass, or glass-like objects. A friend mentioned that he had never seen dark field water drops (dark field glass lighting referring to having a dark background, and lighting everywhere EXCEPT the background, essentially having the light come from the sides and lighting the sides of the "glass." This gives the tell-tale white edges). So we set up a water drop rig, grabbed out what ended up being 4 flashes, and got to work. Here are the best of the best:
