I've only seen one of these machines in my life, in London at a live station. The noise and imagery they create is just stunning. Nice captures here!

The Black Five was built in 1937 according to the builders plate, the Bullied "Spam Can" would be August 1945, just towards the end of the "Southern" era before it all became part of British Railways.
