I am not a skateboard photographer but I was waiting with my son for a friend to come back and we took these two shots in the parking lot.

I also played with these in lightroom to boost color and contrast would love to know thoughts on both if anyone has any. My Son is just getting into skateboarding and so I am sure we will be doing more stuff as time allows.

The originals look fine, you post work was unnecessary.

As for your son, tell him not to look towards the camera. It doesn't look right when skateboarding.

Thanks I kind of felt the same way about the post work but thought I would see what others had to say. The look at the camera was my fault the first shot he looked away and I thought it would be better to see his face. Told you I was not a skateboard photographer.

timing is way off and there is a serious lack of composition skateboard photography is very different from other sports photography...skate photography is about telling a story, where hes coming from what the feature/trick is and where hes landing, its unlike say basketball when you just want to see the person in the frame shooting the ball...skateboard photography is a lot more artistic you could say. timing is everything...keep trying you can only get better.

This is a useless comment and quite unnecessary. He landed every Ollie and if you are referring to my photography skills that is fine but a more useful comment would be to tell me how to make the photograph better not comment on the subjects skills or apparent lack thereof.
