First go at image stacking. This is shot from out the back of the house in Troon. There's loads of light pollution sadly so I'm a little disappointed with it even though it seems to have come out ok. The Milky Way can been seen winding it's way from the bottom right to the top centre. The mass of stars at the bottom is the galactic core. I don't know what the small galaxy in the middle bottom left is.

40 images, f2.8, 24mm, ISO 3200, 20 second exposures, 15 dark frames.

It sure looks like the Andromeda galaxy...

Cameras - Canon 350D, 5D
Lenses - Canon 18-55mm, 75-300mm, 50mm f/1.8, 24-105L, 24-70L
Flashes - Yongnuo YN460 II, YN468
RF-602 transmitter and 2 receivers

Wow, serious 3D effect.

Hi fellow 5DII'ers...I can finally contribute to this thread! :) Prepare for the puppy invasion...

Look forward to seeing more, Adam. Plenty of room for puppies, but careful...he'll grow up into a 5D3 before you know it!:D

LOL! Thanks Ricardo. But I think if I came home with a 5D3 I would find my stuff in piles out on the street the next day, and I probably wouldn't be heading to NZ for a honeymoon any time soon!

What exactly is done to the refurbed camera bodies? I read it is best to buy refurbed lenses from Canon because of several reasons and was wondering if it's the same with the bodies.

Seems to depend on the reason it was refurbed. Mine is a refurb, and other than the fact it had a little over 4,000 clicks, it seems as good as new. I guess the major downside is that it comes with only a 90 day warranty.

Astumi,

Really nice close up here. Love the detail. Here's two of my flower photos. Used my EF 70- 200 f/4.0 USM on the Hong Kong Orchid tree leaf and my Sigma 180 f/ 3.5 APO HSM DG EX for a BC hybrid orchid from my collection.

Enjoy...
