Can you say what motivated you to make the switch to a D700? And then only a few months later back to a 5D2? What were you looking for and did you find it?

Thanks!

I played with my friend's D700 today and got hooked. This is going to be fun. :D

Dont get it, you will be hankering for the Canon, I can almost lay money on it.............

Ok, this is how it goes.........and this comes from someone that does not sit in either camp.

The D700 really is what the 5DMKII should have been, a fast, multi-focus FF camera........dont sweat it on the MP as I have some large giclee prints hanging in galleries from both cameras and you cant tell the difference........they both produce fantastic images.

I bought the D700 specifically to shoot multiple exposures, as it does a 9 bracketed shots, yes its great for that, but man the menus to get to it are a complete pain in the ass...........and there we have it..........i tried it spent the money etc. etc. but the bottom line is the Canon feels a million times better in the hand.

I bought the 1dMK3 specifically for multi bracketing as it will do an 18EV spread and then had a hankering for FF, so there really was only the one to buy the 5DMKII.

Hopefully the 5DMKIII or whatever its called will address the issues that the D700 is better at!!

Todd, great dog shots.........is the boxer yours??

Sandisk Extreme, the fastest and at least 8gb as the files are rather large from the 5dmkii

Transcend. Don't bother wasting extra money on the big brands. They are very reliable and have a lot of fans on here. I got a 16gb 400X on ebay last week for 65 bills shipped.
