Since I'm new to FF and CF cards, which cards do you guys use and recommend?

I use Transcend CF 400x in both my DSLRs and Transcend SD Class 10 in my G10. Never a hiccup with any of them. The only card I've ever had to throw away straight from the camera because it simply died was a Sandisk Extreme II.

5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

Transcend. Don't bother wasting extra money on the big brands. They are very reliable and have a lot of fans on here. I got a 16gb 400X on ebay last week for 65 bills shipped.

Just ordered one of these. :D

So I've had my 5D (classic) for a little over 6 months, and I love love love it. I feel like it has helped me learn so much, maybe because there's not as many 'bells and whistles' etc and I can just focus on finding good angles and compositions. I love the great smooth tones and colors and everything about the image quality.

However, as primarily a landscape shooter who does a lot of low light sunset sunrise longer exposure type stuff, I miss live view and the ability to zero in on the focus point immensely. I'm glad I went without it because it forced me to learn things about exposure and reading a histogram that I hadnt before, but there are a few times where I know I'm missing shots while trying to get the center AF point to lock that I wouldn't miss if I had live view an the ability to compose and focus through it.

So im pretty sure i am going to make the leap to a mark ii. There's a few other 'perks' of course, sensor cleaning, I'd like the capability for video and I believe the mark ii has better sealing since I spend a lot of time shooting near water/waves.

I'm really just looking for feedback from anyone who has gone from a beloved 5D to a mark ii. I'm a little afraid that I'll somehow be missing out on the 'magical' type IQ from the original 5D. What things should I know? What am I going to miss? Or love? Will my RRS L bracket fit? Or am I gonna have to buy it again?! Thanks in advance.
