i have a quick question that i hope someone can help me out with. What is the best way to shot low aperture and get 2 people in focus. do you guys manually focus? Thanks:)

You can set your autofocus so that it auto-selects, based on what you point your camera at. This isn't really an accurate way to go about using autofocus --- your camera decides what to focus on.

It also won't allow you to focus on things that are in different focus planes.

If you want to shoot two people standing in different focus planes, you could consider focus-stacking. Essentially take two shots, one of each of them in focus, and merge the two shots..
