First time trying to get shots of air planes. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds had a show last night and I had a chance to get a few shots.

I agree. Fantastic.

I walked into one of the museums in the city today to test the high iso capabilities of my 5D2. Most of these were shot at iso 3200 and the level of noise i got was quite low in the relative poor lighting.

Some trouble with focussing in the first?


5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

I have just acquire said device but cannot get eos utility to run.

I run win xp sp3, DPP works fine and I have just updated the eos utility to the latest version via the canon site but still no joy.

I want to put my name in said camera....boo hooo.

Can anybody help.

Your processing style seems so unique compared to a lot of other landscape guys, do you do anything special in post or are the images from the camera pretty close to what we get to see here?

i have absolutely no experience really shooting long exposures... so is there some sort of 'golden rule' or is it just trial and error to get the correct exposure. Just curious as to how you decide to do 8 minutes. thanks!
