does anyone else's top focus point have a little red "ghost" above it?

....and mine. I can also see fainter ghosting above some other points too.

Is this a mass 5D hallucination?

isn't it HUGE?

It is pretty huge for those not used to a gripped camera.

Ronin, he's my ultimate guitar hero! First saw him in London, 1969/1970 I think, possibly appearing with Taj Mahal and Trees.

Footman ... I can understand why he's your guitar hero ! The concert was amazingly good ! Just give a look at my Flickr and you'll see what a lucky b* I am. We had a private picnic concert in Hawaï featuring Santana =)

For those of you talking about "red ghost dots" on your images, if it's on image playback, could it be you have it set to display the AF points used in shooting?
From the manual, bottom of page 129 or page 145, depending on which version you have. I just looked at the pdf on Canon's site and it's on page 145 there.

About the AF Point Display
When the [AF Point disp] menu is set to [Enable], the AF point which achieved focus will be displayed in red. If Automatic AF point selection was used, multiple AF points might be displayed in red.

I know the first time I saw that I wondered what it was until someone pointed that out to me. I hope that's the same thing you all are seeing. :)

In my case, there is an actual "ghosting" of the top focusing point only relative to the other focus points when looking through the view finder. All other focus points are clear when trying them seperately.

Same here. Doesn't affect the final image, its mostly distracting when looking through the view finder .

BTW, does this camera if focused correctly take a bad shot? Lol I'll never use flash again with this ISO range lol
