Same here. Doesn't affect the final image, its mostly distracting when looking through the view finder .

BTW, does this camera if focused correctly take a bad shot? Lol I'll never use flash again with this ISO range lol

Never say never! LOL! While I agree the ISO range is pretty amazing, there is always Fill Flash! Glad I grabbed one of my flashes for a trip to the lake this last weekend! Incredibly harsh Sun, and ended up with faces completely lost in shadows or the backgrounds completely blown out... Popped the 430EX on and tried using the HSS mode for the first time!

I wont have any images up until I get my laptop back. So, they will sit on my cameras until then :(

I'm kind of bothered by my out of the box ghosting on my 5D point :/

fishingjts: Oh, I still have 4 flashes, but shooting without them is super nice. I'm going to guess I'll be shooting a lot more natural light with this camera and enjoying it. But, can't wait to use some off camera flash!

Agreed! LOVE being able to crank the ISO and shoot with natural light! I find myself packing at least one flash as I head out the door, just in case... ;)

As for the ghosting, yeah, I was upset with it too! (got mine at Christmas) But now I don't even notice and in fact had forgot about it until you mentioned it...

Looking forward to seeing some of your pics!

Thanks! I got a couple cool shots of my dogs last night. Wanted to go do something interesting with it, but been working 12s and exhausted. I got Fri-Sun off so I'm going to hopefully get some stuff this weekend. BTW, I HATE cameras without grips. Cannot wait to get one.

I checked my 5D II this morning and see what yo are talking about by ghosting. I think it has something to do with the design of the camera. When you look through the viewfinder with the focus points lit and the lens cap on it isnt there, but when you take off the lens cap it shows up. Might be refraction off of the focusing screen onto the pentaprism or something.

Either way, not a deal breaker for me. focus points flash for half a second and the overall IQ and build quality make up for it IMO.

Go take some pics and stop sweating the small stuff. I think its just a design quirk. =o)

Hmm, I see what you're saying about the refraction. May just be the lens doing it. I'm still happy about the purchase, don't get me wrong :D
