A quick question for people who owns both 5d and 7d; How do you notice the ergonomic difference? Does the 7d improved grip does anything differently when heavy lenses are mounted and you walk around with it?

I think they both feel great, but if I had to compare the feeling - imagine a Samurai using his Katana to own people (5D) and then having a Tanto(7D) for those quick ninja status moves.

I use adobe Premier Pro CS5, After Effects CS5, Photoshop CS5 and Sony Vegas Pro 9 in combination for my video editing.

Are you sure you are using a good card reader, also - did you try downloading the info using a USB via the camera to pc?

I use a {3+2}D Mark [10-8] and a (23-16)D and a Nikon D(75+75)x2s and a Nikon D(38+2)x

Can you open the card in Windows Explorer? Is there anything on it?

No significant difference. I now use both with grips anyway.

5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

Squeaky main dial

I haven't used my 5D2 for two months after I got Fuji X100 and find the main dial (the dial just behind the shutter button) makes squeaky sound when I turn it counter-clock wise.

I wonder if it would be ok to put a drop of oil used for sewing machine?
