No it isn't. It's 32 bit or 64 bit. The number has to be a power of 2.

OOPS my mistake, your right its a 32.. i guess i have to upgrade to 64 ?

No. That depends on your hardware. If you try to load 64 bit you may find it simply doesn't work, and even if it does some of your software definitely won't. I'd leave well alone. The only significant advantage of 64 bit over 32 bit is that it can address more memory, but if your computer runs badly because of memory limitations and you're already at the limit for 32 bit (a little over 3gb) you'll be better off buying a new computer. In any case, most problems with older computers running badly relate to the graphics card, which you can't change on a laptop. Get a new machine with a significantly upgraded GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).


5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.
