I was so close to buying a 7D until I came across this thread, I think I'm gonna go ahead and spend the extra money to get a 5D now :D

Thanks. Ya, I borrowed a 24-70 the night before I left. I'm not much of a landscape shooter so I didn't have a tripod either. I had to go to the other side of the island to a radioshack for this cheap Targus tripod that couldn't hold the 5D. It was real fun

Easy to fix the horizon in PPing. Great photo by the way. Love the colors...

Here in Minnesota the weather can be a little bit bi polar. Just yesterday it was 50 degrees and sunny. This morning I wake up and find out it has snowed almost 6 inches over night, and accumulated up to a foot by the end of the day. Gotta love Minnesnowta!

Anyway, as I was driving around , trying to avoid slipping into the ditch (thank God for my all-wheel-drive Honda!) I saw this little pond/lake. A nice bed of fog was starting to fall so I just had to pull over and take a few pictures!
This is straight out of the camera, with just a little bit of curves adjustments. It was an eerie evening.

Does anybody else that owns the 50mm f/1.4 get this much vignette when they shoot with it? I didn't really notice it until I opened this set of pictures on my computer...

Mason - Yeah, all wide aperture lenses on full frame give tons of vignetting, especially wide open... I love it, though... Haha Glad to see you posting on here, by the way!

Two new ones from me... This is another one of my roommates.

Well for not being much of a landscape shooter it's a great shot. Being a landscape shooter it would be a great shot too. ;) The horizon is only a minor niggle and only because I always look at that. lol

Well, I thought I'm in Hawaii I need to get some good shots on the beach. I was really liking it, so I'm ordering a 17-40 real soon. This was my first photo posted after a very long time on the forums I'm glad it turned out good.

I took a lot of photos at this location. I really wanted to post and was in a hurry so I just grabbed this photo and processed it. I might have some with a proper horizon, if not I'm going to have to do that. Thanks :)

Martin, this looks like it was a great spot! You might try a little different pose though. Maybe one hand on her hip, turned a little more to one side, weight on one foot? Just a few suggestions... Square to the camera is usually a masculine pose and not flattering to a woman.

Hat's off to her for standing barefoot in there! :)

You're probably right and good advice! I have many photos from this session in many different poses, for this photo I think some how it relates to the environment :)

She has never done this before, first time in front of a camera..

But here is another pose

A lily that needed to be picked off. It made for a somewhat interesting subject, IMO. Used the 100mm f/2.8 macro for this shot.

LeeRatters- It was actually a comfortable 30 degrees! It's not considered cold until we hit somewhere below 0 :)

Thanks Will, haha. It feels good to be able to post in here finally! Posting in a photography forum rather than a guitar one seems more appropriate:)

vivala- I love the purples and greens! Very nice.
