I hate the AF system on that, often you'd just have been better off buying a P&S. No...I don't see how that would ever be the case...most P&Ss have a long delay before the capture is made, so in situations like that why wouldn't you just manually focus? The image will still be way better than something from a tiny sensor, unless you're just shooting for the web. Growing old disgracefully!
