Which backpack (with wheels) would you recommend for the following gear?

2 bodies
100-400
70-200 2.8 IS
Sigma 17-70
nifty
tubes and TC
flash
accessories
tripod

It's kind of difficult finding in which bag everything would fit...

You looking for something that's airline friendly, or hiking friendly? There might be some that would (sort of) meet both criteria, but they're scarce on the ground.

Rather airline friendly. Though hiking friendly would be great as well... But it has to be a backpack, a suitcase wouldn't be practicable passed the airport...

I'm thinking about getting an Airport International (external link) for that. Tripod might have to go on the outside, depending on the tripod. I stuff my tripod into my checked bag since they can refuse to let you carry those on, at the call of the gate agent or cabin crew.

I always check the tripod as well for the same reason. But I need the possibility of having it on the bag for the remaining of the trip...

IIRC (and I'm sure someone's reviewed it on here), you can strap a tripod onto the outside. At the very least, you could use one or more of the handles as anchor points for your own straps. Since their "Bazooka" tripod cases claim to be able to attach to any of hte Airport series rollers, there have to be some usable attachment points.

I take it back - it's the Airport Takeoff that's the roller/backpack combo. That does have external tripod attachment straps.

What ever you do stay away from the Tenba large backpacks. They suck!! They only have a single handle the wheels are too small and they are not well made as to fit and finish. I spent nearly 400 on one and really regret it.

I'd also suggest looking at the excellent Lowepro X350 AW and X450 AW convertible rolling backpacks...especially the X450 AW :).
