BBF and focusing point

Hello,

I using BBF and can not chose my focusing points. It just stays in the center. Can someone please walk me thru what I need to do to chaning my focsuing points while using BBF.

What is BBF? I'm not familiar with the acronym.

I'm curious to know what BBF is too.

I think we're talking about Back Button Focussing, i.e. moving AF-On away from the shutter button. I'm not sure quite what that has to do with focus point selection, though.

You need to tell us which body you're using, too, because the procedure (and the range of options available) will be different for each model.

So would I on the BBF thing , we will also need to know what Body you are using .

I focus using the back button but have no problem selecting focus points. As mentioned above, which body, and which mode are you shooting in?

After pressing FSB you roll the MTD or the RQD or use the MCJ thing.

Sorry, I mean after pressing the Focus Select Button you roll the Main Top Dial or the Rear Quick Dial or use the Multi Controller Joystick thing.

I would guess that the camera is in GBM (green box mode)...

It's all just a matter of *SFA that folks should not do without defining the meaning.

haha...as if that's ever going to happen.
I'm guessing you mean things like "aperature", "appatur" (and any other variation) and then there's "lense" - uggghhhh.

What I did is use one of the custom functions to put focus point selection on to the joystick.

I thought that BBF was one of the abbreviations from the adult classifieds on Craigslist.

I have the 5D Mark II. If you use the joystick to pick your focus point....How do you hold the bbf button and then move the joystick around. Do you do both at the same time? That seems impossible when I tried it last night. OR do you use the joystick and then the bbf button.
