Since I hate using the flash on my Rebel XT, I had to get a lens that would allow me
to take shots handheld and with existing light only. Most of my shots are taken indoors with existing light only.

But, these shots here are all outdoors and with a new lens I just purchased.
Its a Canon 50mm 1.4 which works well for my purposes. The one think I don't like about this lense is that its not WIDE enough...

I didn't know what "Bokeh" was until I read about it. And, I realized that the "blur" in the backround is very effective and I really liked it.

But, I'm still researching what lense would be best for shooting handheld, indoors with low light, existing light only. Of course no flash at all...

Nice shot Mrye, but with some editing that shot could be amazing!

Thanks Willy..I'm still pretty new w/Elements 5.0. Last week I finally got the RAW plug in to work, so from here on out I'll shoot in that for more control.

Are your suggestions something you can post, or do you need a copy of the original?
Thanks!!!:)

OK,

I'll play :D . Here's the 50mm f/1.8 at f/1.8, iso1600 on the 20D. No sharpening and no noise reduction:

Now i don't knwo what you will think, but hear you go:
Sharpened a little
upped saturation a little
upped contrast a little
All very basic stuff, i don't reall know how to do the hard stuff, so this is all very simple and easy

I like the bokeh from my Cat lens. Snow over the treehouse roof.
