Sep 14, 2010 02:25 | #3 Actually there isn't. I dont know much about post processing either. So what I do is set it up first and then shoot. So it takes a lot of tweaking for me. Any advise? Does taking B&W images rather than converting a colored one makes a big difference for you guys? I see it differently thats why I take it B&W. 5D Mark III, 5D mark II, EF 50mm f/1.2L USM, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, Tokina 11-16mm F2.8, EF 24mm-105mm f/4.0L IS USM

The only difference is that now you don't have a color version. In other words, you can always make it black and white from a RAW but you can't go the other way. Website (Updated Recently)

Sep 14, 2010 02:44 | #5 I was wondering if the contrast will be the same if you shoot it B&W vs processed B&W? 5D Mark III, 5D mark II, EF 50mm f/1.2L USM, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, Tokina 11-16mm F2.8, EF 24mm-105mm f/4.0L IS USM

Not a lot to the PP either. Open the Raw image and select black and white. That being said, if you do spend some time learning PP you can get some really nice effects with B&W. No problem. I should mention the downsides as well. First and foremost you will see it in color on the camera screen. As a result, it may hurt your ability to "think" in B&W for the shot as you can't take a series and then look through them and adjust. Website (Updated Recently)
