At work in Alameda, CA - at the pier

Been meaning to take a couple pics near my office at lunch. I work near the pier in Alameda and was hoping to get some comment on these:

1. My building with the water reflecting off the windows.

2. End of the ramp connected to the roof of the adjacent building. It's sloped into the water where they historically would launch boats that were constructed. Hasn't been done in decades.

I think number 1 could be a really good shot if you tried it a little later in the day. I like the angle, but I want to see more of it. Also a little work in PS can fix the window lines.

I don't have PS ($) - what needs to be done with the window lines? I thought they came out okay (obviously) but am a novice. Unfortunately the angle is a bit limited since that was the widest shot I could take without a bunch of the ground signage and random trees interfering with the shot.

Here's a couple more I took at the same time:

3. Very common sea gull posed for me. Nothing special but he kept staring at me:

4. Boats leading out to the estuary.

I just simply used skew to keep the lines parallel. There is also a bit of a bulge in the center of the frame that could be removed too.

Depending on the location, the trees may add to the shot. But shoot it at a different time to get some more colors of the skies. The windows are awesome though. And, if you had PS, you could remove any signage that was in the way. You may also be able to get closer to the building, do a panoramic to get everything in there, and then fix the distortions in PS. Anyways I see a lot of potential in that building.

I dont get the building fragment photo. It seems to me to be an interesting building, but the composition either leaves too much out (context) or perhaps includes too much, but as it is just seems like you could have gotten more out of it. I like the shot of the boats along the estuary.
