Are there any Professionals using iPhoto to import their CR2 files?

It seems a lot more user friendly than the Canon Viewer utility and is faster than Adobe Bridge ( which seems to Take ages to load) but is it up to a professional workload?

:D

I also use iView Media Pro & Photoshop. iView really makes organizing, keywording, & finding your images a lot easier.

Anyone ever used Picasa by Google?

It's a pretty basic program, but I use it for organization and stuff. I'm just a hobbyist, not a pro, but it seems to work great. :p

PC? Mac?
For XP, I use DIM to transfer from the card & rename at the same time. For RAW, RSE is the king for me.

iView will work on PCs or Macs - it is a native Mac program, which is great for us Mac users.

So why does no one use iPhoto?

I would guess it is because iPhoto just started being able to read RAW. It still does NOT support the new RAW format in my Rebel XT. The "touch-up" capibilities and modifications you can do are somewhat limiting when compared to PS.

I love iPhoto! It is quick, fast, uses keywords, color correction, does HTML exports. But, then again... I am not a pro.

I will be stuck using Elements for the near term.
