Hey guys,

I've been looking for a bag for school and I can't find one that is perfect (Well of course! There really is no perfect bag).

I need a bag that can fit the following:
- 2 Binders
- 1 5D Mark II (i'd be okay if it's non gripped)
- Two L primes. I'll be okay with either the 35L & 85L or the 24L & 50L.
- A couple of accessories like batteries and whatnot (cards...)

I already have a TT UD35, and i find that it's a bit deep because it can carry a 70-200 (which i no longer have).

Thanks!
Marlon

marlon I am coming to Vancouver in two weeks!!
what shop/site should I visit?

A lap top back pack might work. I think my back pack can fit two binders

Nothing. Things are a LOT more expensive up here. We usually grab everything we can from the states.

I use this backpack! It carries my 16 inch laptop, 4 CF cards, a charger, lots of pens, lens cleaner, an extra battery, flash, as well as my 50D, 17-50, and 50mm just fine!

It really wont fit a 70-200 but i noticed you do not have that lens anymore. I think you would be fine using this bag with two primes and your 5d. I think if you moved the dividers around you could probably fit your body gripped! If you do not carry the laptop in the pouch i easily fit two binders in the laptop area. Its a slimmer bag, and fits pretty nice on your shoulders with some good back padding as well. I have had it for about 1 1/2 years and was only $80!

There are some other really awesome options out there but this one is compact, i liked that about it!

Thanks for the bag suggestion. I'm looking for a shoulder strap product.

I have been looking at a Crumpler 7 million dollar home. I originally stayed clear of any bag that closed with velcro as the added noise in a wedding situation was not appreciated. At least by me:lol:.

Now that I don't shoot weddings I may dump my Tenba in favor of a Crumpler.

There is one on Craig's List right now for $79. And it's in Vancouver.....WA.:D

You did not mention a price range . . . but I've seen a lot of good things about bags from

I've been considering dumping some money into a new bag or two from them. My 2xCanon 100dg bags are literally bursting at the seams trying to keep everything in.

great recommendation! Thanks!

Maybe I'll just grab any bag and just put the tenba insert into them. Thanks!

take a look at the Think Tank Urban Disguise 60. It is the bag I use, it is a messenger bag, however I'm not sure if you could get a binder in it.... I do however get all of the following...

15" Macbook Pro
80-200 f.2,8
Gripped T1i- 15-85 with hood attached.
50 1.8
2 separate flash guns
flash triggers
cables
chargers (AA and Canon)
lens cleaners etc.
extra cards

all this and I don't use the two large front pockets provided yet... they quote that you can put a 1D body in the front pockets so technically if you tried to throw your 5D in there then maybe you could take some dividers out and throw in some binders... you can also get a backpack strap mount for it, or move the shoulder strap diagonally on the bag so you can wear it like a slingbag...

great bag, I truly love it, it is expensive however but I feel its worth it when you consider I can get all of my gear in it minus softbox and stand
