holiday ) I saw this 'thing' dangging on the flower nearby.following my instinct i quickly snap before it gone ... any comment or critics are most welcome

I don't think you had to rush the shot. It looks like the cocoon of a pupating insect (moth or butterfly). It'll be there for a while.

It's an interesting contrast: soft colors of a fresh flower with a cocoon woven from dead plant material but containing new life. From a photographic perspective, I think you could lose the empty space on the left and bottom. A closer crop would give more detail.

I wish we could have seen the caterpillar constructing this. It's quite a feat of engineering for a bug.
