Just wondering if any Elinchrom users ever tried one of these:

Get the kacey enterprises dish. Shoot him an email and he will mount a custom bracket & reflector so you can use it on your elinchrom light

+1 on the Kacey Dish. If I didn't already own the Speedotron dish and was in the market for a 22" dish I would get the Kacey dish.

Not to detract from the kacey dish (I love Kacey's products, and have bought quite a few of them!), but I find a modelling light to be really helpful/crucial when using a beauty dish--both to watch the light and to keep the eyes nice and bright and colorful--so a potentially meltable plastic dish has it's drawbacks.

I've stress-tested the dish with the modeling light on full-power for a 3 hour period. No sign of melting whatsoever.

Is that with the D-Lite 400 modeling light?

i called kacey and they said they don't offer an elinchrom mount

[edit] - emailed kacey directly and he is making me an elinchrom mount. I emailed him and told him that his support staff wasn't up to date on this issue.

Don't know what has changed, but I have a Kacey BD with an Elinchrom mount. The dish came with the Elinchrom mount direct from Jerry. I believe he used a Chimera speedring that you can purchase and mount yourself.

Regards,

i've had an elinchrom mounted one as well. Great dish but i think i am going silver this time, so therefore the kacey isn't being bought again.
