If you want to look at them side by side use the Canon website and compare the features. I looked at this today and think the T2i is worth the extra $200. Just my 2cents

Canon 6D, Canon T1i, Canon T4i, Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens, Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, EF-S 18-55mm IS Lens, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Lens, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens.

T2i ALLTHE WAY! It's my first SLR. I took 3 years of a college course in highschool because I had the room in my schedule, so I was already hooked on Canon because we used the X series of Rebels I think the Xti? Anyways!
I went to purchase the T1i here in town, and found they were charging more than 1000. So then me and my husband drove 5 hours to take a shopping trip for hunting gear, and my camera. We got to McBain Camera and found the T2i for just over 1100 with taxes included. LOVE IT! It's a great starter camera, but I think it's great for someone with experience like myself who doesn't quiet yet have the budget for the topline mark series.

Long story short... get the T2i.

all of these are from my very first day with the camera a little over a month ago!
