I like them, but for the first one i'd crop it above the first button and for the other two, between the two buttons.

nice work.

I'm a complete novice, so I hate critiquing the photos of others, but wanted to share a quick tip with you that might be of some help. I worked on a military base in an office that did DA photos- two handy tools when taking photos of people in suits- Clothespins and double-sided garment tape! :)
As the photographer, you obviously have no control over whether or not someone is wearing a suit that is a good fit for them or has been pressed nicely, but those two tools can help make it appear that way in the photos. For example, the gentleman in the last photo, is wearing a suit that, to put it nicely, does not seem to fit him well at all. It's large, isn't pressed as nicely as the other men's suits and the fabric bunching distracts a bit from the actual photo/subject. Gathering any extra fabric and attaching clothespins and using double sided garment tape to force collars or pockets to stay in place can help make someones suit appear as though it's a perfect fit and nicely pressed :)

Loving my new camera! I have absolutely NO idea what I'm doing with it,
but giving "hobbyist p
hotographers" a bad name has been fun!

Thank you both for the comments. This was my first try at this type of pic. I'll keep the clothespins/tape in mind if I do these again.

2. Has a strong green tint
3. Head is tilted to the near shoulder. Not ok, ever, for men.

Hmm, the color in 2 looks about right to me and the WB was set with a grey card. I'll recalibrate my monitor today and see if it looks different.

I missed the head tilt. I guess I need to practice more.

Thanks for the C&C.

What was your (flash?) setup? Studio? I am interested how far one needs to go with lighting for good shots like these.

The people were about 5 feet from the backdrop. I was about 7 feet from them. The main light was a Sigma 500Super shot through an umbrella 45 degrees in front and 45 degrees above them. The umbrella was aimed in front of the person to not get hot spots. The fill light was a Sunpak 383 super shot through an umbrella and it was behind and above me. I kept the ratio pretty tight. I don't remember the exact numbers for the flash power.
