I keep finding myself needing more and more. I just added battery cp-e4 clones to all my OCF's and still don't have enough for backup. I know I'm no where near the record holder, I have 56 rechargeable AA's, picking up 16-32 more today.

It got me curious, how many do you have?

16 or so... but I only have one speedlight. I will likely pick up 8 more eneloops at some point just to have them in case.

No real count at the moment, but I usually get Ray-O-Vac's in the 20-pack for just under $10. I've got the partially-used remains of two packs, at present.

CSS7493 - Have to show friends your Post - they think I'm weirdo for having 5 sets of 4 x Eneloops...!

Mine are used in: Canon SX10, Fuji S2000HD, Fuji HS10, and in a few weeks - Pentax K-R (has optional Li-Ion power-pack, or 4 x AAs in holder.)

Do wish we could buy Eneloops at US prices here! In Sydney a set of 4 costs AUD$22.00 - about US$20.00.

(And no - not going Pentax DSLR because I don't like Canon - I do, but the shelf-full of superb Canon L-lenses to go with one doesn't fit a disability pension... The Pentax ability to use a huge range of film-era K-mount and M42 lenses fits the wallet better....)

Regards, Dave.

I really thought I'd be seeing people post 100+ or something. I guess by that point they've moved to higher end strobes and vagabonds/innovatronix/elinchrom etc.

I guess I am a bit picky when it comes to my recycle, when I start missing a pop every few shots I swap em out. To rule out any doubt, if I have time and am not missing shots while doing it, I change the pack and the 4xAA's in the 580ex's. So that's 12 for each strobe setup plus I need 1-2 sets when I use my on camera flash. If there are posed shots before/after the ceremony, I'm automatically swapping out after those before getting to the reception. It just seems like I am burning through them. All 2500mah energizer.

24 eneloops

ADVICE: mark your sets as you buy them. I mark every set of 4.

Like this:
Bought 8.
4 are 1a
4 are 1b

Bought a batch of 16:
4 are 2a
4 are 2b
4 are 2c
4 are 2d

Etc

Thirty-two. Each set of 4 are marked so they get equal usage. Have a 580EX and 580EX II + CP-E3.
