Ill come back in soon afterwards, and head out again about 9ish, would be nice to get to the zoo when it opens at 10.
Get early light, and less people.

Just realised how early this makes the day, anyone want to suggest good times to get to the zoo?

Also, it might be a good idea to start sharing contact info, and saving it somewhere not on POTN.

Peka is planning a server change, I would hate us to miss each other because all out contact info was in PM's and we couldn't get to them because xtra was a little slow resolving the new DNS.

Hi guys,

I'd like to join the trip, I live on the North Shore, you want to get to Westhaven really early, the shots I've posted below were taken around 6.30.

Nice shots! Everytime I head south towards the bridge at twilight, I think I must come back to take some shots, thus far haven't pulled it off :(

Yep, leaving my son with his grandparents all day with no way to get back is probably not a good idea, so that fres up another seat in the van.

G'day people. I'll be up in Auckland on Sunday morning, so if you'd like to meet up for a couple of hours (Wazza that means you too) then I'm up for it. I fly out to Sydney in the afternoon though.

The wife is tired of plane photos she wants me to start taking shots of things she's interested in. So I'm up for an hour or two at the airport!

Hehe Daniel.

So you're flying up in a Seneca tomorrow. Sweet.

Hopefully we can meet up Sunday.

Change of plans with that Seneca tomorrow, scheduling issues. Airport meet? Ok sure.

Okey Dokey, What time do we need to be at Westhaven?

My little calander here has official sunrise around 6:50am-ish. So some of the most interesting light is before that.

As this is an early start for most of us, I for one will probably grab a bite after the first shooting of the day, does that sound like a plan? Will get my cafine dose en route.

Close your eyes and listen to the drunken singing then.

I'm actually staying at home today.
I have a head cold. Hopefully I'm feeling better by tomorrow. :(
I've been to Westhaven also before, and you really have to be there 30min before sunrise, just as civil twilight comes along.

You're right about sunrise Pete. 6:50am is close enough.

It could be cloudy though, so won't be looking at too much.
